Welcome to the Slipper Island blog.
Slipper is a privately owned island on the east coast of New
Zealand. Approx 6km's offshore from Tairua on the
Coromandel Peninsula. Slipper Island has a land area of
approx 216 hectares. Great white sand beaches on the west
and south sides rising to high cliffs on the eastern side.
Located in the Pacific Ocean with excellent diving and
fishing in the clear blue waters, Slipper has a lot to offer
keen fisherman and divers.
Slipper Island can be reached by boat from the mainland
or in a light aircraft, landing on the Island's own airstrip.
